50 Frogs, 5 Babes and a Bulldog is a humorous tale of five middle-aged women looking for good men in today's dating world. They focus on the internet dating sites, but each date turn into a disaster, and they meet some undesirable male characters along the way.
When the gals decide to give up the man-quest, Sandy Applegate, the main character, comes up with an idea based on "you have to kiss 50 frogs before you find your prince," and develops a plan. The gals continue their search, but the frogs keep appearing and each incident is worse than the last.
It is after some personal changes are made, they set their sights higher, create a quirky plan to check up on these "prospective dates" and register on a highly recommended dating website that the princes begin to appear.
Winchester, Sandy's rambunctious English bulldog with "issues" adds to the fun and creates havoc to all who meet him, especially the gentlemen callers.
The book has a happy ending, with some surprises along the way and lessons to be learned.

Hello friends. Welcome to my website. A native of Southern California, I moved to West Fork, Arkansas in 2009. I also reside part-time in Platoro, Colorado.
From 1996 to 2002, I was single. Watching TV with my tenacious English bulldog, Winchester, was not my idea of a well-rounded social life, so I decided to step out in the dating world, and registered on a few internet match-making sites. My dates were often disasters, and I met some very strange males characters "frogs." My friends told me I should write a book about my dating "adventures" because they were so crazy and humorous. This book is based on some of my dating incidents, but fictionalized. (Incidentally, I met my prince on the Internet!)
The characters and restaurants are pure fiction, except for Winchester, who is accurately described. It was fun bringing him back to life and putting him in these bizarre situations. He was an unforgettable English bulldog.
I have been writing stories for my own entertainment since age 6, but this is my first published novel.
I graduated from California State University, Long Beach, where I received a degree in journalism, specializing in magazine article writing. My articles have appeared in several publications, including the Los Angeles Times Calendar Section. Later, I did technical writing for orthopedic surgeons. At the current time, I am writing my second book: "Hornblower at Work," a comedy/mystery about a private investigator and her side kick, Winchester the English bulldog.
